Christophe Muret looks after an incredible range of indigenous southern French, as well as international, varietals from his base in the medieval town of Castelnau-de-Guers. Situated in the north of the Herault with vines layered over multiple sites this "amphitheatre facing the sea" as it often referred to gives him plenty to work with. Sustainability has always been at the forefront of his decision making in the vineyard and the winery. Currently under organic conversion they still operate at the highest, strictest level of the French Haut Valeur Environmentale.
Our lockdown project was to work on creating our label for the house blends. Cornish artist David Ortiz captured image for us which is not immediately clear as wave or mountain and so "Entre Mer et Montagne". Rather like the vineyards themselves.
