100 % Chardonnay. Clay-limestone soils. Transfer of the harvest by gravity, direct pressing by pneumatic press, rigorous temperature control ferment in stainless steel. 90% aged for 12 months on fine lees in stainless steel vats and 10% aged on fine lees in oak barrels (blending at bottling). Clean, lean lime and fresh herbs on the nose. Taut, racy palate, some weight but mostly of the vintage, cool and clean lined. The nose is quite lime leaf and box, no fat or loose edges. Bright acid on the finish. beautifully knit together. |
Viognier Reserve de Dorieux Comtes Rhodaniens |
100% Viognier on blue shale soils. Transfer of the harvest by gravity, direct pressing by pneumatic press, rigorous temperature control ferment in stainless steel. 100% aged for 12 months on fine lees in stainless steel vats. Quite evolved nose, lots of kernel fruit and spice. A touch of creamy greengage on the palate, good acidity with a phenolic lick on the finish. |
Pierres Dorees Rouge "Bien Eleve" |
100 % Gamay on stony sandstone, sandstone, marl, clay and blue shale soils. Gravity transfer of grapes, 8-day maceration, pneumatic pressing, rigorous temperature control ferment in stainless steel. 12 months ageing on fine lees in concrete vats. Clean, bright nose. Clean and juicy palate, some tension from acid and nice velvety exit. A bright and perfumed style. |
